Church Clean Up

Hellen Keller once said,

"The world is moved along not only by the mighty shove of its heroes, but also by the aggregate of the tiny pushes of each honest worker."

That's who we are as members of Tenafly United Methodist Church and that's what we are called to do.

What He loved and desired, we love and desire and work to complete.

His work is to see lost men and women saved and built up. His work is to see this world redeemed.

His work is to see this unfinished world be brought to completion.  We who love and follow Him are called to complete the task.

The church building helps us fulfill that calling.  We meet in a building to gain comfort, strength, and insight, and then scatter as the church into the community.

This ‘meeting house’ of God needs to be taken care of … maintained, polished, cleaned, repaired.  And so we did.

The day of  ‘honest working’ was energetic, fun and meaningful.

We came to the church, the place of Christian gathering with broom, sponge and hammer in hand to ‘push’ forward the mundane tasks that make a difference. We carried away a deeper meaning of God and Christian fellowship.
